Co-sponsored by AWS, Maryland-National Capital Parks and Planning, District of Columbia Dept. of the Environment, Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, and other Anacostia River sub-watershed groups. Location: M-NCPPC Brookside Auditorium, 1800 Glenallan Ave., Wheaton, MD.

—Come learn how to become a better watershed and stream steward. This ½ day workshop will look at how to enhance a steward’s ability to protect and restore local streams and the river. Sessions will highlight the resources that are available to stream stewards in the Anacostia watershed, and will provide guidance on maximizing interaction with local governmental agencies. This workshop should also be of interest to non-Anacostia watershed groups, and will be a great networking opportunity.
